Today I’m introducing Savvy Sound Bites. These are short bites of inspiration to help you build your brand, build your business and build you!
Our inaugural Savvy Sound Bite is dedicated to helping you break through the fear that’s keeping you from being profitable in your business.
You can listen in here:
Fear is the one thing that can keep you from experiencing life the way you deserve to. It can keep you from realizing a breakthrough in your business.
Think of that one thing that you keep putting off. That task you keep tweaking or rewriting, and this is because [insert your excuse here…]
Maybe you’re saying, “I need to proofread it, or build a new site for it.” Or “I need more followers before I launch it, not enough people are going to see it.”
Or maybe you recognize your fear and you are holding back because you think no one will respond, “…people won’t want to buy what I have, maybe it’s not good enough,” or “…what if it flops?” or ” I need to lose weight before I do that video, or get a better haircut, or grow my hair longer.”..
Whatever the excuse, it is all based in fear. Fear is what can keep you and hold you back from experiencing life the way you want to or need to.
I was visiting a blog ealier, Lisa Cash Hanson’s blog, and she said something that I really love. She said, “Do it afraid.” That means, don’t let that fear stop you. You may have to take a step while afraid.
Think about it. If you don’t do it (the task you’re avoiding), no one’s going to buy it. But if you take that step and put that product out there, or you offer your coaching services, maybe that one person, or two people, or 10 people or 50 people who need it the most will purchase it.
It may be one person out there who is desperately seeking that “something” that only YOU can deliver. We are all unique. Only you can be you. Only you can say it the way you say it. Only you can write it the way you can write it.
And it may be that “thing”, your special “thing” that person is waiting for, and if you hold back and keep it to yourself because you are afraid, you’re denying that person the ability to move forward in their life.
Your business should really be about your customer – that person you’re seeking – not about you, or how you’re going to look or if people are going to like you.
Your goal is to help that customer, that person who you are in business for.
And if you’re thinking too much about how you will look, you aren’t thinking about what they need.
Switch your focus. Change your thoughts to what can help that person out there – your target. And if it’s something you know can help them -maybe it’s something that helped you – then you need to deliver it. You owe it to them to help them.
That’s why you’re in business.
And only YOU can bring that “savviness” – that special product, that special way of coaching – that can help that person.
I can’t do what you can do. You can’t do what I can do. We each bring our uniqueness, our special gifts to the market. And if you are letting fear keep your products or services from making it to the market, then you are causing others to miss out on something they can truly need.
So, to stop living in that fear, stop thinking about yourself and how you’re going to look or what’s going to happen to you. Start thinking about how you can help that one person – one person at a time – do what they need to do best using what you can deliver.
I hope you enjoy today’s Savvy Sound Bite. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Please leave a comment and share how you’ve moved past fear.
Also, if this sound bite has helped you, please share it, tweet it, or pin it.
