My best friend used to live in Austin, TX with her two dogs and infant baby. She worked full-time and kept her family happy. She was one busy mom.
Her home was beautifully decorated, with “model home” decor, down to the cream-colored carpet. Yes, cream-colored. As you can imagine, with two dogs and a crawling-into-everything baby, it didn’t stay cream for long.
Even though she was already a busy mom, she tried one of those rent-a-steamers to clean her carpet. It helped some, but it didn’t look like new and it took a lot of time and effort – two things she didn’t have to spare.
After returning from my visit, I started thinking about ways to help make her life a little easier. That’s when I came across www.TheSteamTeam.com, a carpet cleaning business serving Austin and Dallas, Texas. In researching, I found that they had over two decades of experience in cleaning carpets, upholstery and other areas. They are big on customer satisfaction and they guarantee their work.
A great solution for my already-overworked friend.
This experience got me thinking… How many other too-busy moms were trying to do things themselves that could easily be delegated to someone else? Whether it’s hiring a virtual assistant to help in your home business or contracting bi-weekly cleaning service to help with the housework, working moms (and work at home moms) can occasionally use help.
Many will say that they can’t afford it, but with the time you would save, you can get more work projects done, helping you to earn more money. Or maybe you could use the time to rest and rejuvinate, making you better able to balance your various tasks and be more effective.
While being supermom is admirable, it isn’t always realistic. Getting help can save you in the long run.
What about you? What tasks have you made the choice to delegate?
